Autumn update
Well, what a day weatherwise. Storm Alex rattled through with strong winds & heavy persistant rain. So what do you do when the weather is awful, make some more products of course, so we have finally made the Crab Apple Jelly .
The crab appies were supplied by ‘Skip’ the local Scout Master in St Clears and have been stored for the last 2 weeks in the cool & dark to allow the flavour and colour to develop.
Boiled and strained many times and then the liqour weighed and the correct amount of sugar added and again boiled until setting point reached.
Well worth the effort when you see the beautiful golden colour.
Autumn update
With autumn fast approaching, we are now ramping up production of our chutneys and curds. The only way to keep on top of it is through careful planning week by week.
First on the list will be restocking our complete range of Curds: lemon, raspberry, orange, lime & ginger. Following on from these, we will concentrate on our Bramble Preserve, Strawberry Prosecco Preserve, Fig Chutney, Caramelised Red Onion Chutney, Carrot & Garlic Chutney and the list goes on.
Whilst it seems we are tied to the kitchen, we do try to have a day out each week and we recently visited West Angle Beach on the western tip of Pembrokeshire, one of our favourite places.

Still no sign of any Food Festivals on the horizon but both Carmarthen Food and Bwyd Ceredigion Food selling well.
